I am aware of the need to be well prepared and medically fit before entering openwater swimming competitions. I assume full responsibility for the risks involved in competing in the Vibes & Scribes Lee Swim 2019. I confirm that, on the day of the Vibes & Scribes Lee Swim 2019, my fitness level will allow me to complete the 2km course in less than 1hour and 15 minutes. I confirm that, on the day of the Vibes & Scribes Lee Swim 2019, my acclimatisation to cold water, together with my choice of swimwear (wetsuit or togs), will allow me to complete the 2km course safely. In consideration of my entry, I agree to waive and release Cork Lions Club, Lions Club International District 103, Swim Ireland, the members of the Organising Committee and other volunteers and helpers, and the principles and sponsors of the Vibes & Scribes Lee Swim 2019 from any kind of liability for illness or accidents which may cause death or injury, and from any kind of liability for property loss. I accept that photographs taken during my attendance at and participation in the Vibes & Scribes Lee Swim 2019 may be used to promote the Swim generally, and that such promotion may include publication on the Internet and in print media. I accept that certain personal data (name, sex, date of birth and country of residence) will be retained by the Organising Committee in order to produce the results of the Swim and to justify sponsorship. I further accept the conditions of entry and agree to bound by same and the instructions of the official stewards on the day. I accept that, should I decide to withdraw from the Swim, my entry fee (less administrative charges) will only be refundable for two weeks after the date of entry. The nominated charity for the Vibes & Scribes Lee Swim 2019 is the Cork Life Centre. The Centre is a voluntary organization offering an alternative learning environment for young people who find themselves outside the mainstream education system. The Centre and its staff offer students 1:1 tuition in Junior and Leaving Certificate subjects and support them in their preparation for these State Examinations. The approach to education is a holistic one. The value is in the social education of young people as much as on the academic. Please help by making a donation to this very worthwhile charity. Thanks in advance for your generosity. Paschal HorganCork Lions Club
